With spring in full swing and fruits looking extra yummy, I couldn’t help but indulge in some fresh fruits. This past weekend, I headed over to my local market to pick up some of the goodies I found. I picked up some mangoes, strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, pineapple, and bananas without being sure of what I would do with them all. Then I thought to myself, smoothies sounds like a great idea considering that we are experiencing summer in the middle of spring. I’ve put together 2 relatively easy yet mouthwatering smoothie recipes.
I call this ‘The Battle of the Berries’
Blend
1 Cup Strawberry
¼ Cup Blueberry
¼ Cup Raspberry
½ a Banana
¼ Cup of Coconut Milk (can be substituted with yogurt- vanilla yoghurt goes pretty well too or avocado for my fit- fam(ers)
¼ Cup of Ice
Since I’m long overdue for a vacation and all I can dream about is chilling on the beach with ice blended drink enjoying the ocean breeze, I call this ‘The Tropical Dream’.
Blend
1 Cup chopped Pineapple
1 Mango
1 Kiwi
¼ Cup of Coconut Milk
Spinach
¼ Cup of Ice
Remember- buy fresh and use fresh!
Enjoy!
These look so good! Do you use the canned coconut milk or the one from a box?
I used the canned coconut milk. I wanted something with a thicker consistency that could be substituted for yogurt.
