Do your fresh herbs go bad before you could use them? Here is a delicious recipe for preserving some of my favorite herbs.
As you know, I love Fresh Herbs because they are game changers for your dish. I personally can barely squeeze out two uses from my herbs. This recipe goes well as a base for literally any dish- as a marinade… with pasta…. rice dishes… stew… you name it!!
You will need;
1 bunch Parsley
1 bunch Cilantro
1 bunch Scallion
8 Garlic cloves
2 Scotch Bonnet Peppers
1 tbsp Rosemary
1 tbsp Thyme
3 tbsp Olive Oil
½ cup of Water
- Combine all the ingredient and puree to a fine consistency
- Pour the pureed spice into a sauce pan and bring to boil on low heat
- Once its cooled down, transfer to an air tight container and refrigerate
This not only gets you to maximize the use of your herbs but also makes it easily assessible when cooking without worrying about the need to clean & chop them.
